As its Provide of Choice for its Network of Affiliates
WASHINGTON, D.C., (January 3, 2008) - Orchid Suites, a leading software as service provider with over 10 years experience in the Washington DC Metro area, today announced that the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), America’s largest conservation organization with over 5 million members, is recommending Orchid Suites as the provider of choice for its network of affiliates and their chapters across the country.
“We are pleased that NWF believes our company and our online services are what their organization and members need to raise awareness and engage people around their priority issues effectively on the state and local level,” says, Cindy Morgan-Jaffe, Vice President for Marketing, Orchid Suites.
NWF wanted a solution that its affiliates at the state and local level could use to get online and/or enhance current online activities effectively.
“Our affiliates are tackling important conservation issues in their states and engaging people on the ground, so it’s critical for them to be able to communicate online. Orchid Suites provides our affiliates with an affordable and easy-to-use system that will support the work to protect America’s wildlife,” says, Caroline Itoh, Director of Grassroots Operations, NWF.
Orchid Suites is a woman-owned, progressive software company that helps organizations and enterprises grow using a system of the latest integrated online management tools. In addition, the company offers a unique content sharing capability called "suites" where connected websites can share content and branding - ideal for franchising, advocacy and reaching target groups through microsites.

National Wildlife Federation. (http://www.nwf.org) On March 1, 1934, President Franklin Roosevelt appointed political cartoonist Jay Norwood Darling to be chief of the U.S. Biological Survey. Darling urged the president to convene a conference to bring together individuals, organizations and agencies interested in the restoration and conservation of wildlife resources. The conference in February 1936 was called the North American Wildlife Conference. At this conference an organization was created and called the General Wildlife Federation. Darling was elected president. The General Wildlife Federation became the National Wildlife Federation in 1938. Today, the National Wildlife Federation is America's conservation organization protecting wildlife for our children's future.
